Elegant Eccentric Best Pitcher With Lid

Wish I'd bought a second one! I bought it to make iced tea. I can pour in boiling hot tea and cool it, adding more hot tea as it brews without worrying about the collision of heat and cold that shatters the glass. That's great. lid 2 pcs.; The metal part is tapered (for cleaning) but also has a stemmed plug. Insert part metal, part rubber. You can use the rod to switch (tilt) the insert if you want steam to come out. Otherwise it closes completely when the pitcher is upright and when you start pouring it opens gently - nothing is spilled and the metal part protects the liquid (if you decide to stop pouring midway). I love the design because it looks like a decanter or straight out of a chemistry kit! It's also short enough to fit on a regular fridge shelf. You just have to make sure that there is enough space for the base as it is wide at the bottom.

Pros
  • Oven Safe: Borosilicate glass is known for its low coefficients and high temperature resistance. Safe to use on a gas or electric stovetop
Cons
  • High Price
