Review on ๐Ÿงข EDTREK Waterproof Camo Beanie - Stay Dry and Concealed in Timber and Blaze Orange Camo Performance Hunting Hat by Paul Rosemark

Good product but could be improved.

The trim is wrong but I'm a little surprised by the material, I thought the waterproof outer was the type of material used for jackets but here it's a very thin fleece , which is actually very Swedish -like. Maybe it's water-resistant (and certainly not waterproof, which is a misnomer used in almost all hiking products sold here). That. Inside, again a little surprised, I expected the fleece to offer optimal warmth and comfort, but it's more like an old bucket hat, polyester yarn (not merino) but at least not itchy and warm considering the yarn isn't that soft and comfortable is like fleece because of the knit. Another problem is the sound. While it's not waterproof (nothing is by itself, not even rubber boots), it's definitely soundproof. So much so that it resembled my winter wetsuit hat that I use for windsurfing (made from the same neoprene material as wetsuits). So it completely covers your ears, which is great for warmth, but it doesn't have sound holes that completely deafen you. The only thing I can give her is my pulse. So this is by no means a bad product, just keep the above in mind and maybe if someone has experienced it in the pouring rain you'll know whether or not it effectively repels them. Last but not least, large size - the max size available is quite snug, not uncomfortable but snug which means you can't wear a cap if that's your thing.
