Review on Vornado 460 Small Whole Room Air Circulator Fan: Powerful 3-Speeds, Compact Design in Black by Amber Love

As the proud owner of the Vornado 660 room air circulator, I wanted to compare it to the compact Vornado 460 room air circulator, especially compared to the similarly sized and affordable Honeywell Turbo Force Circulator room air circulator. First off, the Vornado 460 is slightly smaller than the 660 and moves air up to 70 feet (as opposed to the 660 which is 100 feet). While both feature a chrome bar for full airflow direction control, the 460 has 3 airflow speeds and is switched by a mechanical knob versus the 660 which has five buttons (four speeds + one for on/off) on top. The 460 is ideal for a small office or bedroom as it offers excellent airflow for its size. I feel it produces better airflow at the highest speed than the Honeywell Turbo Force Whole Room Air Circulator I use in my work office. Having used the Vornado 660 for the past few years it still performs well and I believe the Vornado 460 retains the same quality. I'm personally very satisfied because it's good enough to fit on a desktop or desk or floor while staying cool. In fact, I'm writing my review while this Vornado 460 is circulating around my home office. The big question for some people is whether they should go for the Vornado 660 or the Vornado 460. For the living room, definitely the 660 because of its larger size and speed, but it's important to note that there's a misconception that a single circulation fan will make your room super cool. It's not going to happen! It helps with air circulation but does not replace air conditioning. If I had to do it all over again, now that I know how well the 460 circulates air, if I only had $100 I would buy two 460s instead of one 660. The reason is that I thought four speeds would be great value for money, but more than that, over the past two years we've only used three of the 660's four speeds and I could see it making it a lot easier for me is to cool my living room when I have two 460s pointing at different angles than one 660. And buying two 460s costs almost as much as buying one 660. Don't get me wrong, I love our Vornado 660, it's bigger and has really great airflow, but I've used a 460 and at its price I would Buy two 460s if I only wanted to spend $100. I would place two in different parts of the living room and could easily leave one and use the other in another room. Otherwise, if you have $200, you can spend and buy two Vornado 660 (or four Vornado 460). But overall, I was quite impressed with the smaller Vornado 460's good airflow. It's more powerful than the Honeywell Turbo I have in my office, and I love that you can choose between a white and black version. air circulation and compact size, it is advisable to use the Vornado 460 Compact Air Circulator for the entire room!
