I see no reason to order a branded product as it is fully functional as intended. If you're wondering if that makes a difference, you can buy it knowing it will smooth out the layers and make them "more reliable". It's kind of subtle, but obvious at the same time. It just makes the switching process much smoother. At first I wasn't sure if it mattered, but the more I drove my car the more obvious it became. If you're considering ordering a shift stop, there's no reason not to buy one. For the price it's not a problem. Installing the shift limiter is easy, but it may require a little adjustment to get it in the right spot for you. The bushing is trickier as it has to go under the car, but once you're there it's easy to install. I had to use some fine sandpaper on the bolt that the bushing goes through as it was a bit rusty and wouldn't let the bushing slide. Just a few movements and the sleeve fitted. I didn't notice a big difference in the socket. Maybe it was a little more "alkaline". I'm assuming any issues others are having are related to tightening the shifter stopper in the correct position, not shifting how you tighten the bolts.
