I had two of these units and both broke soon after. The first one broke just after the warranty expired. The second was under warranty so I contacted Verbatim. They told me that I had to send them the defective mouse at my expense before they could send me a replacement. The shipping costs alone will probably be about the same as the price of a new mouse! Today, most companies will not require the return of a defective product worth that small amount. Update February 27, 2018: I have been contacting Verbatim for over two months regarding my broken mouse. They don't seem to read past emails because they often ask for the same thing more than once. In the end they agreed that I didn't have to send a mouse. All I had to do was smash it with a hammer or poke a hole in it and send them pictures. After submitting the photos twice, I received a response that the mouse was not destroyed in an acceptable manner, to then issue a refund, even though the photo I sent showed a cut in the cable and a nail driven right through the mouse. When I asked them a question, I received an email in the same form as two months ago, explaining how to send a replacement mouse :(
