Inexpensive mouse, great for traveling, short shelf life

I bought this mouse for kids to use with a laptop. He never left the house, moving from one table to another in the house several times a week on average. The mouse was a bit small for her hands (ages 5-9) which surprised me, but it was functional for her. It was definitely uncomfortable for a life size adult unless you have REALLY small hands. Worst of all, the mouse would peel off and Windows would keep finding and losing the device. It turned out that after about a year a wire broke or broke

Favorite mouse, but switches are less durable than average.

I had 5 of these. I sit at my computer almost as much as I can be awake, so you might find it unfair to call the switches "less reliable than average". However, I have never worn out a mouse. They wear out after about 4 months, so the average user might last a few years. These are obviously switches as I took one apart and swapped the right and left switches and the left one was fine (it's always the left one that starts not responding properly). Probably the best travel mouse and I miss the…

6 years Large/Slightly Adult

Very Small. We love the mouse for our 6yr. It was the right price and size for a school Chromebook. Can't get lost as easily as her last one. The cable no longer retracts, but works perfectly. (She played with the cord for 6 years) The cord took about a month to retract which is good for the child. I would call this mouse a mini mini mouse. It's smaller than my mini mouse that I use. That's about 1/3 the size of a standard mouse. She does all the schoolwork with him and plays a few games…

Works well enough but I need to tweak

Fit: Bought for my 4 year old daughter to use with her laptop and feels very comfortable in her hand. Input: The mouse functionality in relation to the input device only works properly. Travel: N/A, for us. It would probably be good, not what we use it for. It's "wired" and compact for a small hand. PerfectRetractability: Here lies the problem. Yes, it retracts and wraps around from both the mouse end and the plug end (the coil is in the middle, of course), but the point here is that we're…

Great product, almost perfect

Overall a great mouse but especially for a mini mouse. It may not be as comfortable as a full-size ergonomic mouse, but the way I'm holding it doesn't cause any discomfort (even after using the computer for more than 10 hours). It works just as well as any other mouse. It's by no means the highest DPI mouse you can find, but it's good for a mini mouse, and if that's all you care about then don't look at mini mice anyway. It's a solid little mouse and holds up well, although the retractable…

Save your money - poor quality and terrible warranty support

I had two of these units and both broke soon after. The first one broke just after the warranty expired. The second was under warranty so I contacted Verbatim. They told me that I had to send them the defective mouse at my expense before they could send me a replacement. The shipping costs alone will probably be about the same as the price of a new mouse! Today, most companies will not require the return of a defective product worth that small amount. Update February 27, 2018: I have been…

Looks like someone is trying to avoid all of their reviews.

It seems very strange to me that there are separate reviews for each color of the same mouse. Apparently someone is trying to avoid putting all their reviews in one place. I have purchased over 20 of these Verbatum optical travel mice with retractable USB cable (Metro model) over the last few years. I'm the closest I can get to an expert on her performance. See my comments below: PROS - Small, ultra light - Great for carpal tunnel so I use it (light weight puts less pressure on my wrist moving…

compact and easy to use

I hate using the touchpad on my laptop. I started using a mini USB mouse a few years ago and I really like them, especially when they have a retractable cord and even more so when they come in colors other than black and/or gray. When my last one stopped working I went to my house and they were gone. All they had that was close to my "as cheap as possible" budget was a $12 full size wireless mouse with a pink floral pattern. I ended up buying it because I genuinely hate the touchpad more than a
