I had 5 of these. I sit at my computer almost as much as I can be awake, so you might find it unfair to call the switches "less reliable than average". However, I have never worn out a mouse. They wear out after about 4 months, so the average user might last a few years. These are obviously switches as I took one apart and swapped the right and left switches and the left one was fine (it's always the left one that starts not responding properly). Probably the best travel mouse and I miss the small size when using a large mouse - great for a user who mostly controls the mouse with their fingertips. In any case, I don't want to discourage you from buying it. It seems to be the smallest mouse on the market and the retractable and very light cord is another plus.
