Not long enough to hold iPad Pro 12.9 upright and cannot hold iPad Pro horizontally due to Apple Pencil attached to the side. The screws used to fasten the parts are of very poor quality. The head holding the iPad doesn't close tightly, it keeps moving. Overall a good idea, very poor execution and very inferior materials.

I like that the base of the three legs can be adjusted to a narrow or wide base. I also like the clip that holds the iPad! It is easy to open and stretch. Before that, I returned another tripod because it held the iPad in two corners, not straight sides. Mechanically, this is much more reliable when turning the iPad on and off. The stand is very easy to assemble and set up for use. I use it for both the 11-inch iPad Pro and the smaller Kindle tablet. The smaller tablet fits in well both vertically and horizontally. However, the iPad is very well secured both vertically and horizontally, either on its own or in a case as a spring. The clamp is pretty strong. I bought this for my zoom live class. I teach kung fu and have been using my laptop for over a year now. But with this excellent, well-designed tripod and adjustable stand, I can put my iPad on it and use my AirPods for much better sound when standing far away for physical demos. The adjustable part of the stand makes it very easy to tilt the iPad up or down to get the best angle. I highly recommend this item!

This is one of my favorite toys. I take it around the house and at night its screen height for my Fire tablet next to my bunk bed to either read books via Kindle or browse Revain for new purchases (fun, fun) or just mindlessly surf the web while I'm not pass out. Sleep. I dig different heights and it's very solid. The gooseneck really enhances my tripod and the price was great so I'm very happy with this elite hood tripod.

Overall this is a good tripod and holder for accessories. The metal construction of the tripod and boom is well thought out and relatively reliable. However, there is a problematic plastic bushing that attaches to a metal ball joint. This is the weak link in the design. The plastic piece doesn't fit the metal ball joint snugly and my device shakes and jiggles every time I touch my iPad, especially when using my Surface Book which is heavier. I bought two of these racks. The cell phone/iPad holder is very well made. These are very durable stands that are easy to adjust. However, I noticed that the ball head that holds the phone/iPad holder is a little wobbly on both stands I bought. One of the stands was more wobbly than the other. So I removed the ball head from the phone/iPad mount and found a screw that just needed a gentle tightening. Once I did that, the ball head was nice and tight. A simple "fix".
