I ordered this unit to troubleshoot fan overvoltages in the HVAC system on my wife's 2013 Ford Explorer. It came in Motorcraft packaging exactly as shown. Installation requires removing the panel under the fan assembly, which is located just below the glove box. If you've ever changed a cabin air filter, you've seen the top of this assembly. The plate is held in place by three screws. You will need at least a six inch and quarter inch ratchet extension to remove the bolts. After that you will notice that this part is held almost directly to the fire wall by two more bolts. You remove the studs and the pigtail and it immediately falls out. This is one of the few instances where the installation/assembly is literally done in reverse order. :) Be prepared to have your passenger seat pushed all the way back and you'll be spending a lot of time hanging upside down with your feet in the back seat. My apologies for not providing the connector specifications. I *think* they're 7mm or 8mm, but I can't remember exactly.
