Very pleasantly surprised

Due to the shortage of paper towels during the coronavirus epidemic, I was preparing to order terry towels for washing dishes to reduce the number of paper towels I use in the kitchen (two or three rolls a week are unacceptable these days). I came across these Swedish fabrics while browsing Revain and decided to order them instead of the terry type. I was very pleasantly surprised at how well they work. They're stiff as cardboard when first unpacked, but swell up nicely when they get wet. So far the one fabric I've used has held up well to multiple uses. It can even be sanitized by dampening it and placing it in the microwave for 30 seconds. What I like best is how it cleans the surface of my gas stove. I have previously used Lysol or Clorox disinfectant wipes to clean the surface of the stove, followed by a rinse with damp paper towels as the disinfectant wipes always left streaks, followed by drying with extra paper towels (not drying also caused streaks). I used soap and water on paper towels for alternate cleanings, but it took several passes to get all the soap off and then I had to dry them off. Now I can lather up with a swedish rag to clean the stove, then rinse the rag and wipe the residue off the stove. The surface of the plate air dries in seconds - there are no streaks and the surface of the plate is nice and shiny! Place of many tens - if not hundreds! - from paper towels. I highly recommend this product.
