Hello, I love Aeotec products and they are one of the main reasons I use Z-Wave devices. I have many of their toys but today I just want to talk about SmartSwitches as I have 35 of their older 6 series little brothers. I bought my very first Smart Switch 7 to try it out, so let's get into that. once! This device looks amazing and I don't think you will have any problems plugging two devices into the same outlet. I don't have two of these 7 series so I tested it out by sharing sockets with the 6 series. Somehow this smart switch seems to be a bit cheaper and doesn't have the USB port that the old 6 series had , and I think he's warming up a bit. but other than that it looks like a killer product and I'm beginning to love it. If you already own a Series 6 and are wondering if that little stub might be worth it, I seriously think so! So far I have successfully tested (see pictures): ISY994i ZW+ IR/ProHubitat ElevationHomeSeer HS4 with Aeotec Z-Stick Gen5 works out of the box with all of the above. I've had some issues on the HS4 with the S2 security check but neither of the other two support this mode so I can honestly say it works on all of them. I've only used S0 on HS4, the other two are fine. the default, which by the way is S0 anyway: you might want to tweak options 20 and 21, which define the minimum threshold for automatic watt and kWh reporting. In short if you are in the market looking for a small smart switch that will control your coffee maker over 1500w (I tested it on my ECM Technika IV). This is a great option. Most smart plugs will die at 1000W or less. I hope you find this information useful.
