I think as long as you read the description of this item you cannot be disappointed. Of course, it's small, but that's its advantage. If you're looking for a multi-aquarium, this isn't it (obviously). However, if you are looking for a home for your beta or other similarly sized single creature, this is perfect. But it's not just for fish. I use it to place a quarter sized nail and it works great for his needs. Plenty of room to run around, nap and hide. I've seen it be quite bearable for a young hermit crab, a small toad, or maybe even a small gecko until it reaches puberty. Anything with a maximum height of two inches or less will live comfortably here for the rest of its life.
