I bought two 17 inch tanks for my 55 gallon tank. I like the way they look, the light is bright enough but not overwhelming. Blue is very good in the evening. Love how they attach to the edge of the tank and give it a sleeker look without the chunky body with the fluorescent stripe. BUT then I noticed 2 blue lights went out in one tube within the first month. Shortly thereafter, the 4 white LEDs next to it also went out. Moisture collected inside, although the light strip was never submerged in water and was always 1/2 to 1 inch above water level. Obviously bad sealing. The pipe on the other side of the tank seems fine, but I have no doubt that moisture will also get in and it will start to fail. Really disappointed in Marineland because of those lights. Update: Immediately after submitting the above review, the white lights stopped working fully. Well not quite, they try to glow dimly like a bad fluorescent light. Thank you Marineland. How do I send zero stars? Couldn't get any better shots but they show a general lighting failure.
