Good bright light for a 40 gallon grower.

My only complaint is that I can't turn it around, so the knob (probably not what it's called; the part you turn to turn the light) is on the right side instead is on the left. This doesn't really work with my sockets and since I had to remove the part that holds the light in a fixed position, it slowly rotates to shine on the ceiling instead of the water. I have to fix it every two weeks or so. Otherwise there are no complaints. 10/10

Great lighting and easy to install

Bought for my large 13 gallon Aqueon tank. The tank came with a built in LED which was never enough which I supplemented with a cheap LED mounted on a suction cup that kept falling out. None of them gave enough light for plant growth or even good lighting. This light is OUTSTANDING on both counts. It easily snaps onto the edge of the tank and is very secure. The lighting is fantastic and more than adequate to encourage plant growth. The blue light option is great at night. I've only had it a…

very versatile, best for fish and aquatic life

These are good lights and I like their low profile - no bulky halogen boxes sticking out in the air. I feel better knowing they are waterproof (no evaporative electrical failures). The blue light highlights the neon fish and the black lit plastic plants. I like the different mounting options, but I didn't want to put bulbs on the bottom of the tank that glow upwards - too unnatural. The switches for them are in a weird place 2/3 of the power cord and you have to choose either blue or white, you

The best aquarium light!

This is the best lamp in the world. I was concerned about safety - we have cats and a young son - I didn't want anything that would pose a fire hazard or hazard if dropped in water. It's in a tank so don't worry a cat or child could knock it down and start a fire, and it's submersible so the water isn't dangerous. Plus it works GREAT! I light up our entire 20 gallon tank. I liked it so much I ordered it for our 30 gallon tank. The lights are bright enough, it fits perfectly on the rim of our…

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

I bought two 17 inch tanks for my 55 gallon tank. I like the way they look, the light is bright enough but not overwhelming. Blue is very good in the evening. Love how they attach to the edge of the tank and give it a sleeker look without the chunky body with the fluorescent stripe. BUT then I noticed 2 blue lights went out in one tube within the first month. Shortly thereafter, the 4 white LEDs next to it also went out. Moisture collected inside, although the light strip was never submerged in

Very nice light, but the "shadow problem " still needs to be solved

This is a good product. Like many people, I have a 40 gallon tank that is compatible with the Eclipse 3. The Eclipse 3 was discontinued and the bonnet light failure prompted me to look for an alternative. I like the quality of the lighting. A strip gives me enough light for my tall acrylic tank. The soft blue night lighting is a very nice touch, even if you have to turn it on manually every night. The hidden LED strip snapped right onto the front of the Eclipse 3's hood and I was up and running

Pros
  • Trial period for one year
Cons
  • Boring packaging

So far so good for aquarium lighting

I have a 55 gallon aquarium and one (middle) lights it quite well. To center it you have to use suction cups which I don't need and that made it less hidden so I ordered another one. I installed it on the back edge of the tank first (snaps into the ledge that holds the glass) and the room was way too bright (even facing straight down). The tank sits on a high stand so you can see the LEDs at all times when you're sitting on the couch. So I attached them to the front of the tank and pointed them

Easy to install, great blue and white color options

Bought for my 10 gallon tank a few months ago. I bought the 17" version and it works great. The lighting is nice and bright which seems normal for low light plants. I have balls of Java Fern and Marimo Moss and they are all green and healthy. I attached the light to the Top edge of the tank and used the clips to feed the line through the back If you have trouble installing there are some helpful videos on YouTube but it's easy once you understand how it's supposed to work Glo fish look amazing…

Use MagClips instead of suction cups

I bought this mount to use in the refugium area of my swamp where I can grow macroalgae. My acrylic palette has an edge around the edges. I thought this product might stick but the lip was too thick. It's actually designed to clip thin black straps around the top of the tank. In any case, if the clamp does not work, you will get suction cups. POOH! What year are we in? In any case, since I wanted my flashlight to be above the water instead of under the water and pointing down toward the macro…
