Review on πŸͺ’ Preserve Shave Five Recycled Razor Cartridges | 4 Count Replacement Blades by Regina Coleman

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Eco-friendly is a bit of a misnomer, shaving is so-so

I switched to this razor hoping to be a little more eco-friendly my personal Reduce waste, but unfortunately this product is not as environmentally friendly as I had hoped. The only thing made from recycled material is the handle. The blades themselves are not made from recycled material and cannot be recycled through regular community programs, and Preserve does not offer a recycling program for its products. Considering I already had a reusable razor handle that used similar non-recyclable materials and non-recyclable blades, this purchase just created additional waste that I could have avoided by simply sticking with the brand I was already using . In addition, the blades of this brand offer poor shaving quality. I have sensitive skin but have never had to deal with the burning sensation of the razor, however these blades are very abrasive and irritating. Even with a brand new blade, my legs popped out after one use. Forget multiple uses if they're so boring to begin with. My previous razor I could use between 4-6 shaves (armpits and legs) before it got too dull and I had to throw it away so really all this 'green' razor did for me was nothing more recyclable waste. I was very disappointed with this result as I expected more from the care after the great success with their toothbrushes.

Pros
  • 5-blade cartridge with ceramic-coated blades for comfort and a cocoa butter and aloe glide strip
Cons
  • Some difficulties
