The two long range Greaval 2-way radios we ordered were so pleased that we were inspired to order two more to increase availability. We now have four devices strategically placed in our home that serve as an easy to reach intercom. This is a blessing because as we age our mobility decreases, eliminating the need to yell from one end or floor of the house to the other. Just this morning, a radio station was attending to a relative who was unable to move around the house and kept her in touch with a family caregiver at opposite ends of our home. Each radio requires minimal assembly: insert battery, connect straps and attach belt clip with included screws. The radios have a handy channel warning function. And they can sit on their individual chargers, powered on and ready to take calls from one of the others. Some systems provide a single charging station for multiple radios, requiring deployed radios to be periodically returned to the "base" for charging. Speech intelligibility is excellent. We haven't tried the included interchangeable microphones/headphones, so I can't comment on this feature. And we only got them recently so I can't comment on durability other than they seem to be decently strong. In short, I believe these radios are fully worth their price.
