Not compatible with apps

For the most part, I like this soundbar. You turn it on, connect it to your TV with an optical cable and set the sound to optical. Instant sound improvement. The problem is that it doesn't work with apps since they aren't compatible with the soundbar. This seems to be a major disadvantage since at least 1/3 of TVs these days are Smart TVs. I have contacted Bestisan customer service and they acknowledge that it may not be compatible and apologize. I also couldn't get my DVD to work (via the HDMI input like my cable box and Roku do). I'm a little disappointed that the levels of sound, bass and treble don't seem to be displayed anywhere, you just have to blindly guess what they are. So I use the soundbar for the supported inputs and switch back to the TV speakers for the ones that aren't. Just note that if you switch back to your TV's speakers, you'll need to turn off the soundbar, or you'll hear an echo in the sound (it seems odd that you can't get sound for apps from the soundbar at all until then). You switch back to the speakers TV). I've had the soundbar for a while now and I like it better. There were problems watching some movies on Revain. For problematic movies, the trailer worked fine, but when I played the real movie, there was no sound. That wasn't the case with all films, but it was the case with many. After playing around for a while I came to a solution. I still connect via optical cable, but in the TV settings there is a TV speaker. Now I get all the audio through the soundbar. The only thing I had to do was turn the TV's audio level to zero so there was no echo. Now everything comes out of the soundbar. I don't know if this is a feature of my TV (Samsung QLED) or if it works with all TVs, but I'm very happy with the sound on all my sources.

Pros
  • 🎵3D Surround Sound: The sound field is wide, and the left and right shifting of the sound is extremely precise and clear. As a result, the flat screen TV sounds stereo.
Cons
  • Damaged

At first I thought it was pretty bad and was thinking about returning it, but I was wrong.
