Great balaclava - we have a 10 month old head that is 80th percentile - this balaclava is large but not too big for him - which is great as it will last a few years. It sticks out over his nose, although he likes to tuck it down and under his chin - but at least it warms that part of his body. When we get into colder weather and he's cloaked in winter overalls, we'll see if he can still crush him. While we don't want that to be the only headdress, on a cold day (well, Maine is cold, after all), we pull a hat or hood from a warm jumpsuit over it.
