Review on πŸ”¦ Westinghouse 3-Pack: Motion & Light Sensing Rechargeable Emergency Flashlights by Karen Peterson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Night light plugs directly into a 110V outlet

Replaces existing two-piece devices that used RF to charge the battery. RF chargers failed on ALL (4) devices within two years. They looked neat, but they definitely couldn't take it. I bought Westinghouse equipment to be able to easily plug the equipment into an outlet without having to worry about RF charging stations. The blocks perform the same functions as the original blocks, you just need to plug the 110V pins into the block when using it as a flashlight. This comes in handy with our many power outages. I got curious as to why the original HF units were failing, so I sent them in. ALL devices had defective charging stations plugged into an outlet. Each block had resistors that burned to the ground, although there was a fuse in each block. The fuses were still good. The inside of the lid was covered with smoke. Luckily the house didn't catch fire. The seller no longer sells them, but I see several other sellers who have devices for sale that look exactly the same. I'm not sure if they will have the same problem but I will refrain from buying them. The new devices do not use radio frequency to charge the lights/battery as they plug directly into the wall as they are one piece.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • I'm worried
