Review on πŸ’‘ HYKOLITY Dimmable Daylight Recessed Downlight: An Effective Lighting Solution by Emanuel Frison

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Pretty good lights.

These lights are pretty good for the price. Installation was fairly easy and most sane people should be able to install it without too much trouble. No tools were required for my installation. I simply removed the covers from the old lightbulbs, unplugged the outlet, and pushed in the metal tension tabs. I took the optional step of attaching the base to the top of the jar, but that's not necessary. Then I screwed in the connector and connected it to the new light. I also used a magic eraser to clean up the area as the old light left a dirty ring that paper towels couldn't get rid of. Then I clamped the spring clips, inserted them into the "C" shaped tabs and pushed them inwards. We have those that allow you to change the temperature of the light. My wife and I tested all the settings to decide which ones to use. We liked the two middle settings best. We ended up using a 'cooler' medium setting for the kitchen and a 'warmer' setting for the living room and other areas where we like to relax. We had one of 12 bugs where the temperature setting switch didn't work. I do not work.
