I walk sidewalks as well as grass/mud/sand countless times a week and after trying half a dozen pairs of hiking shoes over the past year I've finally found the perfect pair. This shoe is durable yet very comfortable. The sole is stiff like hiking shoes and the shoes are very soft and comfortable to wear for a long time. The best part is that they are actually waterproof! I've been disappointed by many shoes that advertise as waterproof but actually aren't. I've been wearing them on wet grass, mud and puddles for months now and my feet stay 100% dry. They felt a bit tight at first but ripped quickly and they really are the right size for what I usually wear. One note: the suede-like texture sticks to these shoes very easily; I don't give a damn about grass, dirt, grime etc and they brush off easily when dry. I just bought a second pair.
