To make this review easier, quicker and easier to scan I will make mainly positive/negative comments: Pros: +HDMI (note: only output, no HDMI input) at 1080p ; +Built-in rechargeable battery (3-5 hours depending on the medium used); + USB and Micro SD card reader suitable for basic tasks (Mp3/Mp4, etc.); + Comes with a car charger; + Rotatable screen (including foldable "tablet" style) with decent side viewing angles (top and bottom viewing not so good). Cons: -PRICE- just not worth more than $200 for a Blu-Ray with a screen of this size/quality in 2020; -No HDMI input; Only 1024 x 600 resolution for the built-in screen (NO 1080p is a Blu-ray player for watching HD discs after all - should have a 1080p screen at asking price in 2020); - No support for .FLAC or .MKV; - Weird - no battery indicator I can find but it charges while playing/plugging in; - screen viewing angles are average; - screen quality is mediocre; -The speakers are of course small, and the sound is very pleasant. speakers with poor sound quality; - Quality fit/finish/buttons/plastic - Case looks cheap, poor quality; - Noticeably loud and squeezing playback of discs - does not inspire confidence. In conclusion, I cannot recommend this player at the current price. However, if someone really wants/needs portable Blu-ray playback, this might work; but don't expect anything exceptional in quality (although we chose Blu-ray to start with, didn't we?). This machine is definitely not worth the $200+ price tag. It really shouldn't cost more than $125-$150 as that would be the right price for the quality of this player in 2020. EDIT: I wanted to edit this review to reflect that Dragon Max (seller) contacted me IMMEDIATELY; offer solutions. Dragon Max was nice, polite, helpful and seemed genuinely committed to 100% customer satisfaction. I would highly recommend this seller as any issues with the item are likely to be resolved and rectified quickly and efficiently.
