I've always had facial hair (blonde thank goodness) and now that I've reached 'a certain age' it's grown longer - with a dark mustache - ugh The razor works very well. Nourishes the hair, although not necessarily in one go. Circular motions across my face seem to work best. In my experience, a razor doesn't make my face completely hair free (like shaving my legs with a razor), but my hair gets very short and looks a lot better. The charger plugs directly into my laptop's USB port and takes very little time to charge. Doesn't need to be charged often. Overall, this is a good buy for not a lot of $$.
