I bought two of these belts to replace the double sided traditional belt that I could no longer wear. After going from a 38 inch waist to a 32 inch waist over the past year, I ordered a belt that said "up to 35 inch waist" because I figured that was the exact amount of belt was what I needed. I was wrong. The overall length is 35 inches, but a few extra inches are needed to attach the buckle and provide good coverage for the ratchet's function. Add about 6 inches to your waist measurement and you'll get the right length. You can cut the slack at any time. Nobody will see him. OVERALL THIS IS THE BEST BELT I EVER HAVE. The ratchet system works great. , and incredible for quick adjustments. You don't have to worry about stretching the strap holes and the quality and appearance of the straps are amazing. I assume these belts will last a long time. Customer service is wonderful too. I emailed them about my "wrong size" issue and they sent a new belt without asking me to return the first one. IMPRESSIVE. Who does it? requires it - although I suspect that's all the belts I'll need for the foreseeable future.
