Not omnidirectional

This device consists of 8 LED panels arranged in a circle. LED light is only directional. That means if you don't stand exactly perpendicular to the panel, the light will be dimmed significantly. Therefore, you cannot see the light in daylight unless you are directly in front of one of the panels. So think of it as 8 very narrow beams instead of illuminating everything around you. He needs a faceted diverging lens, which he doesn't have. The exact same block with the correct faceted diffuser lens is made by Xprite and works great. That's about the same and gives a full 360 degree light.
