Competent case fans

This kit contains everything you need to connect and control all 5 fans with additional expansion ports. If desired, the fans can be controlled either via the Fan Controller Assembly (FCA) or via the mainboard control. The fans themselves are very solidly constructed. I have found that CP3 hardware is always equal to or a cut above many other manufacturers competing on price. The kit comes with all the screws you may need, making installation easy. The fans themselves have a VERY long cable to connect to and are split at the end by 5V RGB and a standard 4-pin PWM fan connector. We used about the same speed. Slowing them down helps a lot, but if good airflow and quiet noise are your end goal, you might need to look elsewhere (the IE Arctic P12 series springs to mind). The rotation speed even approaches real static or dual-function fans. They are best used only as case fans. With RGB, they light up as the outer ring, and as a bonus, both sides light up. The only downside is the small outer ring which really limits the lighting, but the upside is that you have a very nice, controllable RGB ring of light that doesn't illuminate or oversaturate your case in a very positive way. Overall this is a great kit and the only real downsides are the noise level, lack of low speed settings and, depending on which RGB level you're looking for, the lighting. 4/5
