So I unscrew the bottom and take out the glass. Then I discovered that there is also a separate silicone gasket that also "only" needs to be fitted onto the glass or else it will leak when reassembling. (I hope you never lose or damage that loose piece of clear plastic.) However, assembly proves tricky as it is "just right" because to easily screw on the underside you really have to tilt the underside a bit. Jug. Oops! If you tilt it slightly, the silicone seal slips out of its "correct" position over the glass lid. start again Hopefully after a few tries you can attach and tighten the bottom screw base. Oops! Now you have to repeat the process with the SECOND screw area in the middle of the base you just screwed on. And also! Do you think you tightened it all the way? Guess again! If the jug is still leaking, realize that it can be even tighter. Even if you're wondering if a glass will break under pressure. Hmmm. I have previously used the plastic jug from Tupperware which only required removing the lid and pouring out the contents, replacing the lid and pouring out the contents. So much easier and no drawings required. I think I've been spoiled. However, given that this item was sold as a jug and not a thousand piece jigsaw puzzle, I really don't think my expectations of simplicity were unreasonable.
