Review on 🧽 Nylon Rope Brush for Rock Climbing Rope Cleaning - DoMyfit Rope Wash Tool by Tim Wheeler

Revainrating 5 out of 5

For Climbing Rope: Lots of elbow grease but works

Here's how I did it: Used on 70m of 10.2mm dynamic rope. Yeah I know it's fat and it took a hell of a long time. Use a large plastic storage tub (clear is easy to spot when it's so dirty it needs to be emptied and refilled) in the tub. Soak in whatever soap you like (I used J&J baby shampoo) and "stir"/soak, hopefully without twisting or binding. Pull to the right an arm's length, then to the left an arm's length, then to the right again two arm's length to continue, keeping your hand submerged the entire time. Ideally, rope that has already been cleared should be placed in another container or bucket because when you throw away a dirty storage bin you don't want it ending up on a newly cleared rope. I did the whole rope twice and had to dump the dirty storage tub multiple times. The only thing that would improve this product would be if the ends were covered in rubber as it cuts your hand a bit if you keep working with it. There were stubborn spots of dirt but overall the rope looked a lot cleaner than before and my hands weren't black when belaying which was really bad before.
