This is my first tripod so I think it's a lesson for me not to save money on a good quality tripod. I figured if I keep it steady and don't fiddle with it too much, what could possibly go wrong? Well, first of all, I bought expensive (heavy) stargazing binoculars with attachments. I couldn't position my binoculars. on a tripod to keep it from falling out. It won't be at the angle I want. It's hit me in the face one too many times (oops) My neck and face ached, as did my arms from giving up and holding the heavy binoculars myself. It is very difficult to enjoy the beautiful sky when your hands are screaming with fatigue. The only good thing I can say is that it's more suited to a very light and very portable camera that comes with a travel case. But I'll probably put it on Craigslist soon.
