My almost 10 year old son loves these pants. He thinks they look cool and feel comfortable. I love that they look like dressier pants so they look great. This would be great for a dressier occasion where it might be difficult to get a boy to wear more formal pants. Being Under Armor they can withstand the abuse my son puts them through and still look great. I would say they are too small. My son is skinny and they just fit so they won't last long if he's about to have a growth spurt so I would recommend trying them on. Our biggest complaint is about the tight button. I knew it straight away when I tried to open them to try them on and he said the same thing when he tried to close them. Not sure if they will loosen with use but that's another reason to think about sizing as it would be even harder if they were tight. These are my new favorite pants for him and I'm really happy with how great they look and that he's ready to wear them! In fact, he even likes her, which is great! solid button
