Glasses are excellent. We previously had a set of stemless Riedel glasses, but they became cloudy after being washed in our dishwasher. This recent purchase should replace them. Decided to try the "Vortex" version. you are good Definitely a little easier to hold than the regular stemless Riedel glasses. The bend in the middle of the side allows the index finger to grip and reduces the circumference of the glass. My wife in particular has small hands and has noticed that they are much easier to hold. Well, whether the wine reveals the immersion in the glass, etc., it doesn't. I don't blame Riedel for the marketing, but you get the same openness and airiness of a wine in a standard glass. So if you like the looks or have small hands and want something easier to hold on to, this is great.
