The helmet and controllers are molded in, the helmet is in a hard plastic case, the controllers are in silicone. If desired, there is a place for charging and wires - but it is advisable to use a protective bar on the lenses - so as not to scratch inadvertently. If you do not put charging with a wire, then protection for the lenses is not needed. The case is hard and small. All liked it.
