With a great structured design, this bag looks really great. It is definitely NOT PU leather (coated with polyurethane). It's real and smells great. Leather quality and tailoring are good. It's stiff enough to hold its shape well, and (at the time of writing) it's available in four colors: black, tan, red, and tan. Skin and color vary. I ordered two red ones. One is much lighter than shown (more of a fire truck colour) and the underside of the valve is trimmed with leather.; the other is much darker (like burgundy) and the underside of the flap is raw leather, plus the leather is slightly thinner and less stiff overall. A potential downside (perhaps a design trade-off) is that it's a bit unwieldy. / impractical: Neither the main zipper nor the two-button flap are easy to use. The zipper in the main compartment is square on both ends, so it requires little force to close or open. (Perhaps a heavier zipper would have helped.) And snaps don't easily combine with their magnetic arms. (Both bags we ordered also appeared to be slightly wrinkled upon arrival, not from delivery but from storage, so they have small creases near weak points like buttons, making pairing difficult.) And if you don't If you zip the main compartment before the flap closes, you risk losing small items through the 1" gaps on either side of the flap. If you need quick access to your belongings, this bag might not be the best choice. Other Notes: Although the bag is quite small, the strap feels too thin so it may not be very comfortable to wear for long periods of time. - It doesn't have metal feet on the bottom like an expensive bag of this type. - It has two zipped pockets (one on the back and one on the inside). That's all. The bag has no other compartments/slots to organize things. And the inside pocket zipper is small and thin. The inner lining is made of beige material, which (like many modern bags) is printed with the company logo. However, the Vera Pelle logo (genuine [Italian] leather) on the outside is subtle. All in all it's a cute, simple and definitely attractive little bag, perfect for carrying essentials, it's good value and feels sturdy. and well done.
