Available in 4 bits: 1/4", 3/8", 5/16" and 1/2". I used the first three when creating a set of dining room chairs. They worked fine. Points on chisels need to be careful not to fall off. I suggest sharpening before any project.

I've only tested the 1/2" drill Be warned these things are very sharp I'm smart enough to keep my hands off tools and sharp edges but the damage occurred when I was trying to get the bit out of the factory box.

Don't ask me how I know – there probably is a first time for everything and it's the first time in my life that I've put a hole in my nail. Just make sure the drill and chisel are set solid, I mean REALLY solid. Also wear sturdy gloves.

Over the years we have tried many different chisels. Most of them required significant polishing to achieve acceptable results. These chisels have been polished in the same way as bits, which saved us a lot of work. Plus, they deliver superior results compared to anything we've used before. What is very nice, all bits have a long shank, which allows you to switch between different sizes very quickly and easily.

Extremely sharp window output. The drill and chisel work well to install as directed. I've easily made hundreds of cut slots in solid maple with the 1/2 set. I wouldn't recommend doing large projects with small hand chisels in hardwood to any real depth with a 1/2 inch set. Too much to be removed with a hand lever. However, with a good mortiser these make great chisel sets/bit don't waste your money on cheaper sets.

These are very good quality chisels. I used them with my Powermatic 719T slotter to make wenge grooves. In the past I've done this with a router and chisel. Wenge is a fairly hard wood (and brittle). I was a bit skeptical about how well they would work based on my previous experience with a router and chisel. However, it is very easy to make grooves with these chisels. No smoke, nothing. I could easily make grooves on wenge.

I bought these with a PM701 slotter. You get what you pay for and they are no exception. The chisel is well ground and the edges touching the sides of the groove are smooth and straight. Drill edges are sharp with minimal burr (one side of the 5/16" drill had a slight burr, but it only took a diamond hone to remove it). The drill is also sharp and fits the drill well. My Shopfox slotter came with a 1/2" chisel and drill that smoked like crazy in the oak and ash I cut. , but was dirty and constantly overheated. As I own a 701 Powermatic bench machine I decided to match the groove with bits of the same "high end" brand. Disappointment. The shank of the pick is 0.006-0.007 smaller than the socket on the machine. The socket is a fairly accurate 3/4 hole. The chisel wobbles very noticeably in the socket. Machine.
