Someone said they broke the screen in the process. I was gentle and took my time because I knew it was possible. That didn't happen to me. And if you're careful, I think you can avoid that too. Once you have the screen cover piece in place, slide it into the padded outer shell. Just do it gently and it will all pass. Once turned on, the iPad is truly protected. My child keeps dropping it or accidentally sitting on it. We didn't, but my friend who recommended it to me said her daughter had thrown it across the room more than once. I'm very confident that our iPad is protected from the sensible things a small child can do, other than a drop in the bucket. It's not waterproof, but it's not advertised as such either, so I won't take it into the bathroom with me 😂. Otherwise, the case does not distort the image and touchscreen sensitivity. This is a win for us.
