Review on Adjustable Thimble Protector for Quilting - Essential Quilting Accessories by Amanda Castillo

Revainrating 4 out of 5

JUST WHAT I NEED NOW

I've been looking for a thimble since I started quilting earlier this year. I have used several. The jelly-like thimble is my favorite for its shape, but the tip wears out quickly. This thimble was my next choice. It works great and is very resistant to pushing the needle through the fabric. The only complaint I have with it is that where it conforms to your finger it tends to rub against that area and my finger hurts a little there. I've been known to sit and quilt all day (especially after quarantine) so after a while I start noticing discomfort. Otherwise it would be the perfect thimble. The raised tip works equally well with long and short needles. If there was a way (perhaps a small band-aid) to keep it from leaving a painful mark on my finger, this would be my favorite thimble.

Pros
  • Thimble with a flexible fingertip ideal for hand sewing, needlework and embroidery
