Protects my fingers

I swapped out my knitting needles for a wonderful set of stainless steel ChiaoGoo wooden needles. I usually use my index finger to take the finished stitch off the hook and adjust the next few stitches. My poor finger started to hurt. I started looking for a thimble or some kind of finger guard and decided it was better to have a metal guard than a silicone one which makes my fingers sweat. I usually wear small dishwashing mitts but chose the medium size as it is adjustable. It fits my index…

The simplest things can lead to chaos

What can you say about an article like this? I sewed "Mr. "Robot" on Dickie's brown work jacket - yes, Mr. Robot, just like in the show - and I'm not really the sewing type. It was manual work. Very slowly, slide the needle through the hard edges of this identical replica patch and through the tight sleeve. I just couldn't do it without a thimble to help the needle go through the fabric. These thimbles are really well designed and work great. Now I shock people across town when I wear this…

JUST WHAT I NEED NOW

I've been looking for a thimble since I started quilting earlier this year. I have used several. The jelly-like thimble is my favorite for its shape, but the tip wears out quickly. This thimble was my next choice. It works great and is very resistant to pushing the needle through the fabric. The only complaint I have with it is that where it conforms to your finger it tends to rub against that area and my finger hurts a little there. I've been known to sit and quilt all day (especially after…

It's just a thimble! Mine came all bent and crippled too!

A little upset about it. That's a bit my fault for not reading the full description. The order comes with only one thimble. All photos match, it looks like there are 2 in the order. Mine also came out of shape all bent and distorted. Firstly if I had known there was only one in the order I would have bought one of the other 4 sets of metal thimbles including this one for about $1-3 more. So this one at $5.99 before tax is a rip off. Second, as I said, mine came all bent and mangled. I was…

The thimble I forgot to take off

I love it. I have large, awkward fingertips and finding a comfortable thimble that stays out of the way has been a journey. I took her quilting. Now this is my thimble for all my handwork. This allows me to work more naturally. Unlike some styles of thimbles, it gets more comfortable the longer I wear it, and I often forget it's there after a while. It will not fall when opening the door or other short breaks. It is easy to resize and adapt to any shrinkage/swelling. Very good on the fingers…
