Scanner doesn't work. I put it in the car and just saw a blank screen. I tried this on a second car and got the same blank screen. I'll return as soon as possible. Update: Customer service is fantastic and sent me a new scanner that works great!

Intuitive and easy to use scanner. I bought it to overhaul my car in preparation for emissions testing. The error codes were easy to find and read, and the I/M status told me which tests passed and which the drive needed to check after the repair. The scanner has many other functions, more than I will use as a random tree shadow mechanic.

Great product at a very competitive price. Exactly as described. If you want to update the reader software, go to the Foxwell website, find the NT201 product page and click the Download tab. I had some connectivity issues when trying to update the software, but after disconnecting and reconnecting the device several times, everything installed and updated properly.

If you want to avoid costly trips to the mechanic, get this. 9/10 Your check engine light is a problem that can be ignored or fixed yourself. Avoid expensive trips to a mechanic who will charge you $50-$100 for a "diagnostic check" (meaning using a similar item for the same check you can do in five minutes with this device) and just run it yourself through. Easy to use and great value for the money you save.

After all my dashboards were flashing and the dealer wouldn't fix them, I got this highly recommended scanner. It was easy to use and gave me two codes to photograph and send to the dealer next time I brought it in (it was a fix that had an extended warranty). This gave me the confidence to be part of the process and to follow it intelligently. Great scanner!

I took this to get the codes off my truck. I had a check engine light, it turned out to be a simple fix that didn't cost me any repairs so this thing paid off the first time. The scanner was easy to use, the menus were intuitive and easy to navigate, it also has an I/M check option so you can pre-check for smog. Very happy with it, costs less than a trip to the store for diagnostics.

My old 2000 van needed some very expensive parts that weren't necessary but still kept the check engine light on on the dash. At least now I can monitor other engine functions as long as the check engine light stays on. (Resetting the engine gauge is only possible after properly repairing the faulty function.) This solves the problem. This unit is easy to use and has a clear and attractive display, which makes me more inclined to check the engine regularly.

This is a cool car gadget. I had a more expensive Foxwell unit and it lasted a couple of years so I know the brand is trustworthy. This time I didn't have $90 for a more expensive unit so since it was a Foxwell I tried this smaller unit. Almost the same features as its sister device and it makes clear codes. My cat's ATM gets clogged so the oxygen sensors shut off causing no problem other than wasting more gas. So until I get a $500 cat, I'll have to clear codes to save gas. This device…
