Let me first say that I am VERY SATISFIED with this order. But a few things happened that made me bite my lip. My biggest complaint is that I was dismayed to discover that you do NOT necessarily get a 15 yard skein. One of the strands (black, not all checked) was cut off and knotted in three places. I need four meters in one go, that's 12 feet. I think there is a 12ft section so I'm not overly concerned but if it wasn't I would be very unhappy as I would have a very unattractive knot on my neo! (I'm making a shank for my shamisen, and it's almost impossible to find kumihimo cord already woven.) My other "complaint" actually worked in my favor as the cord was actually 1mm long, NOT 1 .5 mm, as the name suggests. That's a big difference. In my case it worked great because at first I thought I ordered the wrong size and then I thought "okay, I only make jewelry for my friends, don't cancel the order.” However, if you have an obijime (the thinnest belt worn on the outside of the kimono) or making anything special that requires a larger kumihimo makes a big difference. Rename this item 1mm cord and note that you may not receive the full fifteen meters per skein (in which case I would not order it) and I can give this item 5 stars. That being said, let me say that it arrived very quickly and the cable is just perfect! I love all colors and I'm finally going to make the Pink Neo I've always wanted for my little Shamisen (Nagauta). This really is a very good deal for all you get - so many beautiful colors! I'm looking forward to sitting on the beach today with iced tea and my kumihimo loom and having a relaxing day. Tip: I carefully unwound the strand and placed it on the end of the ironing board. I unrolled it into cardboard sections and marked the footage on each section. I then bagged them all for easy installation on Kumihimo coils. Thanks very much! I liked the order!
