These wall plates look beautiful on a wall of almost any color. The screws are hidden, giving the switches a very clean and modern look. We pair them with Lutron Cassetta switches, which work great. They work by first installing the retaining plate with screws. You then have a separate second cover that snaps into place. Be sure to interlock all sections as this can give the impression of unevenness, especially in the middle, unless all interlocks are secured. You might think you'd break it by removing the snapped element, but we haven't broken a single one yet, and we've done quite a few in our house. The only downside is that depending on your switches, you may need to loosen or tighten the plate or switch to get them perfectly aligned. It takes a while, but after more than a dozen switches, I've always gotten it set to the same level.
