Review on ErGear Dual Monitor Desk Mount by Karen West

Sturdy and Stable Dual Monitor Stand

This monitor stand is much stronger and more stable than I expected. I was afraid it would be cheap for such a price but no. The only problem I had was a small metal burr on top of the center shaft caught on the plastic insert when I tried to slide the cross member assembly down. He ripped some plastic off the liner before I knew what was stopping him. I used a nail file to smooth the burr and the cross member assembly slides in easily. Other reviewers noted that these parts are heavy, and they are. When you can ask someone for help, putting things together becomes a lot easier. Also, as others have pointed out, you need to tighten everything really well or the weight of the bracket assembly will start sliding down the center shaft when you start adding your monitors. The design isn't bad at all. My monitor is 27" on the right and 24" on the left. The crossbars are articulated on each side, and the mounting plates themselves allow for easy tilt and up/down adjustment, so you can definitely position the monitors at any angle you want. Light for stability, but it's not. It's heavy and keeps my monitors fairly stable on my standing desk. Since it's flat, I can also put my small power adapter on it to save desk space. Overall it was excellent value for money and I am very happy with it.
