I broke the door on one of them before installing it. When opening and closing in my hand, one of the small plastic hinges broke. To ensure the door closes tightly, there is a small metal pin that you manually push in and out. It's not difficult, but it's not perfectly aligned, so you'll have to play around with it. On the plus side, it looks great on the black lamp post where I installed it. Expires immediately. It's probably fine if you don't intend to use it often (I used it to close a smart light switch that I'll never need to access again), but I wouldn't use it on an outlet you intend to use frequently .
