Very disappointing. The description says this is a "genuine working microphone". No, that is not so. It plays excerpts from two songs, but it's an imaginary microphone that doesn't amplify the child's voice in any way. My 5 year old daughter burst into tears with joy because this mic "didn't work". I would advise against buying it unless your child is old enough to realize it isn't real or just wants to pretend. Misleading and disappointing.

Even if the bookmark is removed, the song only plays for 30 seconds. "Let it go" summarized to make it short. So if your child knows the right song by heart, it will confuse them. "Summer" is barely understandable and hard to sing along. Those are the only two songs on it. The volume is good, not too loud and not too quiet. This mic was initially a big hit with our 3 year old, but it only repeats a few catchphrases and doesn't contain full songs. We had to separately purchase a Lightning headphone cable (male) that allows us to play songs through the mic we selected from the playlist on my iPhone. After reading the reviews I decided to give it a try. One of the issues in several reviews was getting out of "Display" mode. Many reviewers have mentioned how to bypass this, so I tried removing this tab from the battery section. To my disappointment it didn't work and only played two short songs in display mode.
