I also highly recommend purchasing this entire unit with the fan assembly

This replacement for the QT80 series will do the trick. I ordered it and received it within days and the contractor doing some minor work on my house was able to lower the vent cover, unplug the old unit and plug in the new one in less than half an hour. Of course, before ordering, we carefully wrote down the model number on the old device. I also strongly recommend buying the whole unit with the fan, not just the motor which is cheaper. Old fans get so gross you just want a new one.

This is better than buying a new set.

Well thanks to Nutone for foresight on their bathroom vents. When I saw that the engine block was a replaceable block inside the case (just unscrew and separate) I realized I didn't need to replace my old breather block with a new one. When work became my office right above this ugliness during the pandemic, life just became unbearable. I could hear the old voice upstairs in my office until someone came down the stairs, usually around lunchtime. Four o'clock. Five days a week. More than one year! I ended up asking our HVAC company if they could replace the motor in…

Noise reduction achieved!

The existing fan has gradually gotten louder over the course of 16 years so I ordered a replacement motor assembly to save the hassle and labor of dismantling the existing QT-80 -Avoiding NB chassis in favor of a brand new fan model. Before I removed the original fan motor, I measured the noise level by placing my iPhone on a step stool just below the fan (about 4 feet from the fan shroud): 73.0 dB. When I got a new fan. I hooked it up (on the kitchen counter) and compared it to a (removed)…
