Cheap used/damaged items - do not buy

I ordered 4 of these from Revain and they arrived used/damaged. They were unpacked, the ballast sheet of 2 pieces was removed and bent, all had signs of wear and were then returned. They were all frayed and scratched and the wires showed that they had been inserted/used before. I would not recommend buying these as ballasts have a finite lifespan. My guess is that someone already took their lives from them and then gave them back. I didn't install it and sent it back.

Pros
  • Instant start method
Cons
  • A few small things

Pros
  • High Power Factor
Cons
  • There are disadvantages

So my wife and I went shopping and found a state of the art LED light which we bought and installed (ceiling 10ft, stairs 8ft and just before I turned 69 with a permanent post surgery balance problem in 2012). But I need a big tall light fixture in the garage (ceiling 8ft). So I researched the existing ballast and found a replacement ECG (old magnetic…
