4 mil thick works well enough

I have used them to salt a turkey which I have been doing for about 10 years now. These backs are really strong enough to get the job done. I was able to insert a turkey, cover it in brine, tie the back, and actually hold the back in place with the turkey and brine without fear of leaks, tears, or tears. This is a really good pickle bag.
