Review on Cassette Player Walkman Music Converter by Drew Panah

Hello. In the 80's and 90's I recorded a lot of original music of my own on cassette. It seemed like an inexpensive option. It works well enough to convert tracks to MP3 format, but isn't 100% smooth or error-free. To have separate tracks, you need to press Stop and Start between each track. If you just leave it and convert it yourself, it becomes a long MP3. It's not the end of the world as there are many programs that can split MP3s for you. Some of them are even free. My only real complaint is that the resulting MP3 file is never a perfect copy of the original analogue recording. "After converting a 3 minute song to MP3, the MP3 file will consistently have 3 or 4 random "microsecond gaps". The overall length of the track will still be around 2:59:95. I have tested this with several cassettes of different quality. And maybe 1 in 10 tracks had no gaps in the MP3 file. And all by accident. I also tested 2 of these devices and they were the same for both. So if you are looking for error-free conversion, this is not the solution for you. I'm in the process of converting my old guitar and keyboard files, so I'm fine with that. I also acknowledge that this may not be the same for all devices. If it's a good seller, then give it a try.
