I would give 5 stars but the marketing genius suggested mounting them all on sheet metal. Never thought it could be a thicker fiberglass hood. No mention of what size metric screws are included. The screws are also black oxide coated and not made of stainless steel. So plan for them to rust the first time you wash your car. /annoy

This bonnet latch is amazing. First I bought it without a lock, then I decided to have a lock. Very durable and well made. The only difficulty I had was installing and aligning the latch. Due to the angle of the hood, your initial composition will not be accurate. I had to spend some time slowly adjusting the latch until it was "perfect". But once I finally got everything set up, everything worked great.

DON'T LOSE THE TEMPLATE! He still looks cute. I had to remove the hood latch to install an aftermarket radiator. It's also convenient since I keep the hood open all the time. Always back and forth when I remember forgetting to pull the latch inwards. Strictly comfortable and yet they hold up well at pace / on the road / on the track. I bought these to fit on a carbon fiber hood that I recently purchased. The cap was unscrewed and I couldn't reuse my OEM hardware. I chose these clasps instead and the quality is excellent. When I first installed it I understood why they are universally popular. Now, 2 years and 6000 miles later, one of the two has failed and the other is failing. I received an item with missing parts. All hardware, including the 'clamping rings', was missing from the package. Locks also appear to have been used. One of them had a big scratch. I was also very disappointed with the processing quality of the closures.
