Finding the right tools in the small space to remove the old latches and install the new ones was a little difficult, but I managed it in about 30 minutes . . They worked great and saved my hood from the dreaded hood flapping.

So the clasps are cool but time will tell. Looks great and closes great. First, no instructions and don't use the tools provided, there's junk. Second, you need to disassemble the hinges to install them. For the price they are worth it.

They are much stronger than the standard ones. Just make sure you have the little rubber bumps on the underside of the hood as they can pull them all the way down, tightening the hood and stripping the paint. In general I am satisfied

I needed to replace the original hood locks and opted for the metal locks. They are very good and I am very happy with them. My son gave it to me. With the right tools it looked pretty easy. I would have had a hard time fitting the bottom of the lock into the tight space if I had done it myself. No instructions but the locks were well packaged.

I read other reviews on this kit and they said you have to use old hardware. All parts required for installation were present. Installation was easy. The hardest part was the screws in the wing bays, but it's not that hard with the grille removed. After adjusting the tension, I used Loctite gel to keep the bolts from loosening. Now the hood is rock solid at any speed.

We were on a trip to Washington state during a very strong hurricane. As a result, one of the factory rubber bands broke. The hood dangled so much that we couldn't even break the speed limit. Luckily we were able to tie the hood back on using wire we found on the street and a strap from a camera bag. As soon as I could, I ordered some metal ones. Since then no problems.
