They are lightweight and perfect for warm weather activities and the color (peacock blue) is fantastic! They look the same as in the photo. The center back zip pocket is interesting; I don't know what to put in there, but it's good that there are no back pockets on sports shorts. They are comfortable but the fabric is very thin so I wouldn't use them for weightlifting. They are good for tennis, racquetball, jogging and the like. I once used them as swim shorts while boogie boarding at the beach. I don't recommend this as they are not designed for full watersports and the built in support section tends to feel uncomfortable when wet. But they still worked well and were not transparent when wet.
